Art therapy is a non-verbal form of therapy that works through creative expression using various visual means. I will create a concept over several sessions, tailored to you individually, depending on the complaints or life questions you have. We start with a low-threshold collage, then paints, paper and brushes are used. Clay is also used for certain topics. It is not necessary to be able to paint; the simplest visual language is enough to get to the core. The focus is on communication through images, without any interpretation on the part of the therapist. The observation and questioning enable deeper self-knowledge and access to inner processes. The power of colors and shapes stimulates emotional and cognitive processes. The different visual expression and design techniques offer a wide range of possibilities for expressing yourself and making inner processes visible.
A rope is laid on the floor and represents the flow of life. On it are pieces of paper with various terms.
Each participant chooses a term that best describes the state they are in at the moment.
This word (e.g. joy) is represented pictorially.
Afterwards, each person describes their picture, those present listen attentively, without prejudice and without judging. The therapist asks the questions.
